Update on Negros Occidental COVID-19 Cases Amid Pandemic

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – The province recorded twenty-one (21) new cases of coronavirus or COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines has yet to reach the end. Every day, several provinces and cities got new cases of this disease that was first recorded in China.

It was last December 2019 when China recorded the first case of coronavirus. The country locked down Wuhan City, the epicenter of the disease, for more than two (2) months.

However, starting January 2020, several other countries recorded cases of COVID-19. This disease may bear flu-like symptoms like fever, cough, and breathing difficulties but a person may also be showing no signs but positive for coronavirus.

Negros Occidental COVID-19

The Philippines is now under a community quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Everyone must wear mask when going outdoors and social distancing must be practiced.

Negros Occidental is one (1) of the provinces with confirmed cases of COVID-19. Recently, the province recorded 21 new cases of coronavirus.

Based on a report by Aksyon Radyo Bacolod, the said 21 new COVID-19 patients in Negros Occidental are locally stranded individuals. They are part of the 228 LSIs who were tested for coronavirus.

Out of the 228 LSIs who were tested for COVID-19, 21 are from Neg. Occidental , one (1) from Bacolod City, and three (3) from Iloilo City.

Currently, there are still no further information regarding the new COVID-19 cases in the province. More updates may be posted soon.
