Yen Santos talked about an important realization
Kapamilya actress Yen Santos shared in a recent interview the biggest lesson she learned in love.
Yen took a break from the entertainment industry during the height of her career. This was also the time when her relationship with Kapuso actor, Paolo Contis, became public.
After 8 years of being away from the spotlight and not doing any acting projects, Yen finally had her comeback.
During a recent interview by ABS-CBN entertainment reporter MJ Felipe, Yen Santos was asked why she had her hiatus. She explained that she needed to fix some things in her life in order for her to be stronger and better.
In the same interview for her showbiz comeback through the upcoming Prime Video series The Loyalty Game, she expressed that she knows what this opportunity means.
“Alam kong hindi lahat nabibigyan ng pagkakataon na makabalik pagkatapos ng ganun kahabang panahon,” Yen said.
On the other hand, the actress said that her return is not about reclaiming the past, but rebuilding herself and embracing who she is now after what she went through.
With this, she is very much thankful to ABS-CBN and Star Magic for the support she received. She wanted to repay her home network by doing her best in what she does.
Yen also admitted that she had some regrets, but she chose not to dwell on them. When asked about the biggest lesson she learned, the actress said, “Pwede kang magmahal ng sobra, pero huwag mong kakalimutan kung sino ka.”
Yen stressed that right now, her mind is clearer and she has the determination not to lose herself again. “Ngayon ako babawi. Natuto na ako. Hindi na mauulit,” she said.
The actress described herself now as someone who is grounded and more self-aware. Yen Santos also said that she is now more certain of who she is.
“Mas natutunan kong mahalin ang sarili ko ngayon,” she said, but stressed that she is not totally closing herself off to a possible romance in the future.
