Internet sensation DJ Loonyo has broken his silence on his viral statement about “mass testing” during a recent live stream.
Netizens bashed the dancer-choreographer for going against “mass testing” amid the COVID-19 pandemic with the worry that it would be hazardous. He was criticized for speaking about the matter and was told to research.
Amid the issue, the name of Mark Herras also became one of the top Twitter trends on Wednesday. It is because many netizens compared the two dancers.
In line with this, DJ Loonyo finally spoke through his recent post on his Instagram Story. He said that he is added that in the two-hour video, the bashers just concentrated on the portion which he commented about COVID-19 mass testing.
The dancer also apologized for the “wrong terminology” that he used. “My point is not particularly about the ‘Covid mass testing’; I was actually referring to ‘CLINICAL TRIALS,'” he stressed. He also said sorry for the confusion.
However, the social media personality encouraged everyone to watch the whole video and not just the controversial portion. He also addressed those who are saying that they should do research first. Loonyo said that they have been doing that.
He added that he fells blessed that he has a platform and his “kaunting level of influence” but he does not intend to spread misinformation. DJ Loonyo also stressed that “we are in a critical time in our history” and this time can be used to find answers.
The internet sensation also thanked those who called out his attention regarding his viral statement. “Maaaring we will remain in disagreement on certain points, but that doesn’t mean we cannot have a decent conversation,” he said.
