Knife Recovered From Youth Who Allegedly Attacked 3 Students
A knife was recovered after three students were allegedly attacked by other youths while on their way home from school in Puerto Princesa.
On Monday (June 30, 2026), three students from Sicsican National High School were reportedly attacked by a group of youths while on their way home from school in Barangay Sicsican. The incident prompted local barangay officials to respond quickly after receiving reports about the attack.
The barangay watchmen recovered a bladed weapon measuring around five inches in length from the area where the incident took place.

According to Jhanelle Paredes, one of the responding barangay personnel, the three students were believed to be victims of an attack carried out by four other youths. Initial information gathered by authorities suggested that the suspected attackers may have come from the neighboring Barangay Irawan.
Reports indicated that the three students had just left school and were heading home when a tricycle allegedly stopped near them.
After a few moments, the students were reportedly punched and confronted by the group. The reason behind the incident has not yet been fully established, and authorities continue to gather information from those involved.
When barangay officials arrived at the scene, the individuals believed to be responsible for the disturbance had already left the area.
However, the knife recovered nearby. The students from Barangay Sicsican reportedly told authorities that the weapon may have fallen from one of the youths involved in the attack.
Authorities are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine what exactly happened and whether further action will be taken.
Barangay leaders reminded parents to regularly check on their children and maintain open communication with them. They also encouraged young people to stay away from conflicts and avoid situations that could lead to violence.
