Jayson Gainza shared this post slamming Meralco
Comedian and TikToClock host Jayson Gainza expressed dismay over his Meralco Bill worth almost P18,000.
The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate couldn’t help but vent his frustration after receiving a huge electricity bill for his home.
In a social media post, Jayson jokingly questioned the computation of his electric bill and asked the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) to explain how it arrived at such a high amount.
In his Instagram post, the comedian-host quipped that they don’t have anything that would require them this kind of energy consumption.
“Dear @meralcoph, kami po ay walang laundry shop, wala din po kaming talyer at lalong-lalo na wala kaming apat na swimming pool. Paki-explain paano n’yo ito na-compute ng ganito kalaki,” Jayson Gainza wrote in the caption of his post, showing his recent Meralco bill worth P17.845.79.
He also jokingly said that the bill might go down a few thousand pesos if they would install solar panels. “Baka naman pag nag-solar kami maging P12k na lang kuryente namin. Aba aba, baka lalo kayong yumaman!” the comedian-host said.
In the comment section of Jayson’s post, Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial reacted. “Grabe Meralco!!!!!!!!” Barbie wrote. To recall, the actress also complained about her “wild” Meralco bill that reached almost P19,000.
Barbie pointed out that most of the time, she was out since she is taping her new acting projects, and she is just alone. These were the reasons why she was wondering how her electricity bill reached that high.
Actor Jason Abalos also sympathized with Jayson Gainza, as he apparently experienced the same. Several netizens also echoed the comedian’s sentiments as they can relate to it. “Sameeee ang lala nyo @meralcoph yung routine nmin sa pag gmit ng kuryente last yr same lng napaka lala nyo……” a netizen commented.
