Kapuso actor Mark Herras trends on Twitter on Wednesday due to the viral mass testing remark of social media personality DJ Loonyo.
Before DJ Loonyo caught the attention of netizens due to his dance moves and viral videos on TikTok, Mark first dominated the dance scene. Aside from acting, the Kapuso star is also known for his dance covers.
On June 3, Loonyo is among the top Twitter trends because of his remark regarding the COVID-19 mass testing. He received bashing for stating that it was a “trial and error”. Amid this issue, the dancer-choreographer shared something about “knowledge” on his Instagram Story.
Prior to this, he caught the attention of the online community due to his issues with daring actress Ivana Alawi and his rumored girlfriend Claire Gomez.
On the same day, the name of Mark Herras also topped the Twitter trends. Netizens expressed that they still “stan” the Kapuso actor-dancer despite DJ Loonyo entered the dance scene.
Some said that the viral statement of Loonyo is the reason why they chose Mark while some did some comparison between the two dancers.

During an interview with PEP last month, he was asked if he is willing to have a dance showdown with DJ Loonyo. “Bakit naman po hindi?” Mark said.
However, he asked the public not to compare them. “Kasi, pare-parehas kaming performers. Parehas kaming mga dancers. Lahat naman kami, mahilig sumayaw. So, huwag na silang mag-compare. Kasi, sa panahon ngayon, sa nangyayari sa buong mundo, hindi na dapat tayo magkaroon ng mga negative o kung anu-anong isyu,” the actor-dancer said.
