Politician Bong Revilla finally speaks.
BONG REVILLA – The politician and action star Bong Revilla finally speaks up about rumors of having a rift with fellow actor Robin Padilla.
Among the famous Pinoy action stars who belongs to the cluster of those who turned into a politician is Bong Revilla. However, his name got controversially dragged in PDAF scam and was put in jail because of it for more than four years. And throughout his time inside the prison, fellow action star Robin Padilla was not able to visit him.
In a report from PEP, the actor turned politician denied that he and Robin Padilla are not in good terms. The rumors about their feud ignited when people noticed that the latter was not able to visit him when he got detained.
“Hindi, maaaring busy naman si Robin… Hindi naman natin siya inoobliga. Si Robin ay isang kaibigan natin. Kumbaga, nirerespeto natin siya. Isang taong may paninindigan, bilib ako sa kanya,” he said.
However, he further added, “Ako naman, hindi naman natin maoobliga ang tao, di ba? Nasa sa kanila yun. Basta yung sa panahon na ikaw ay nasa ibaba, doon mo makikita kung sino ang mga tunay na kaibigan.”
Regarding his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or pork barrel scam (PDAF) issue, he got detained at Camp Crame since 2014 after being accused of taking Php 224-million of amount from Janet Napoles. He faced plunder but it was dismissed and he got his freedom again after more than four years he spent inside the jail.
“Nagsalita na ho ang korte, tama na. Kung sinabi niyo noon, tama na, sobra na—sobra na, tama na. Masakit na, tama na,” he indicated.
Meanwhile, after the election, he vowed to have a return on television and he assured that he is not leaving show business. He added, “’Yan po talaga ang first love ko, and as I’ve said, hindi ko po kayo tatalikuran. At pipilitin natin na kapag tayo po ay nabalik sa Senado, ibababa po natin ang bayad sa sinehan para maka-afford ng pelikulang Filipino. Kailangang buhayin natin ang pelikulang Pilipino, ‘yan ang purpose sa aking pagbabalik.”
