Police Arrest Suspect in Jeepney Assault at South Station, Muntinlupa
The suspect in violent jeepney assault at South Station in Muntinlupa City has been arrested by the authorities.
According to a witness, the incident began when a shirtless man suddenly boarded a public jeepney. A few moments later, three other men allegedly followed him into the vehicle and immediately started punching him.
The violence caused panic among the passengers, who feared that the situation could become even more dangerous. Passengers worried that the man involved might be carrying weapons. Concerned for everyone’s safety, they decided to have the jeepney move away from the area in hopes of avoiding further trouble.
However, the disturbance did not end there. Reports said that some passengers were also threatened during the incident, causing even greater fear among those on board. The attack on one person quickly became a frightening experience for everyone inside the vehicle.
Amid the chaos, two senior citizens stepped forward and tried to protect the other passengers. Their actions helped prevent the situation from becoming worse. Unfortunately, one of the elderly men suffered serious injuries during the incident and was later brought to Asian Hospital for medical examination and treatment.
The witness also clarified that the elderly jeepney driver, believed to be between 70 and 80 years old, should not be blamed for what happened. Despite being placed in danger himself, the driver reportedly did everything he could to keep his passengers safe and move them away from harm.
The authorities were able to locate and arrest the suspect after conducting an investigation. Police are continuing their inquiry to determine the complete sequence of events and identify whether other individuals were involved.
