Kapamilya actor Donny Pangilinan was asked about the possibility of joining politics.
Donny is one of the brightest Kapamilya stars of his generation. His onscreen partnership with actress Belle Mariano is a big success, and they are now exploring their individual careers.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, the Kapamilya actor shared his thoughts on politics.
He revealed that there were several instances when he was asked if he has plans to enter the political arena. This is given because of his political background, in his father’s side, and another factor is that Donny is fond of helping other people.
On the other hand, the actor stressed that he has no plan of entering politics, whatever position it may be.
“Yeah, I’m always asked this, but no, it hasn’t because I just think you can help in so many other ways,” Donny Pangilinan said during his interview.
The actor stressed that a big factor of this is how messy the politicla arena is. “So, I don’t think being in office means that you’re going to change things right away,” he said.
Then, Donny said that there are a lot of ways to help other people even without getting into politics. He shared that his childhood dream was to become a businessman because at a young age, he was already business-minded, as he would save up, and would have small businesses, like selling ice candy or cellphone load.
“Hindi ko alam kung paano ko nakuha ‘yon, eh. Ewan ko kung bakit gano’n pero ‘yun ‘yung pangarap ko. Sabi ko, ‘one day, I’m gonna open a business, I’m gonna open a company. Gano’n, gano’n ‘yung pangarap ko,” he shared.
With this, Donny Pangilinan shared that he is set to open a food and beverage business, and he called it “Analog.” The Kapamilya actor did not divulge further details about this because it is opening in a couple of months.
