Seaman Arrested After Posing as Cop and Initiate Robbery Holdup in Taguig
Police authorities arrested a seaman who allegedly pretended to be a cop and initiate a robbery holdup in Taguig.
After being apprehended, authorities determined that the suspect was a seaman who purported to be a police officer. In Taguig, the suspect is accused of robbing two underage ladies and another male.

According to the report of the police, the suspect has been identified as Jayson Espiritu Landrito, a 23-year-old man from Brgy. Santa Ana, Palingon-Tipas, Taguig City. Robbery holdup charges, as well as violations of Republic Act 9516 (Illegal Possession of High Explosives) and the Omnibus Election Code, were brought against him.
According to Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, director of the Southern Police District, the suspect was apprehended on C-6 Road, Brgy. Napindan. During the investigation, two ladies, ages 16 and 14, and another victim, Dave Vertucio, 21, were running on C-6 Road when the suspect on a motorbike approached them and introduced himself as a police officer.
According to the suspect, they had an anti-illegal drug operation in the region. Before departing, the perpetrator is said to have taken the victims’ smartphones. The victims promptly reported the crime to the Taguig Police Regional Mobile Field Battalion.
As a result, the authorities carried out an operation that ended in the suspect’s arrest. The guy was found with a grenade and the victims’ mobile phones, police added.
