In an interview, ABS-CBN actress Barbie Imperial admits that she is looking forward to motherhood in the future.
Barbie Imperial has indeed come a long way since her days as the first evictee of “Pinoy Big Brother 737,” eventually establishing herself as a leading lady in Philippine showbiz.
She was just 16 years old at the time, and while leaving the reality show early could have been a setback, Imperial continued pursuing her dreams in the entertainment industry. After years of hard work and sacrifices, her determination and persistence paid off.
Now, looking ahead from where she is now at this point in her life, she admitted to thinking about a different chapter beyond her career, which takes her thoughts to the possibility of starting a family.
Motherhood is not something she appears to be rushing into, but it is definitely something she is looking forward to as a future milestone that she hopes to embrace when she is ready.
She opened up about wanting to become a mother, which gave her fans a glimpse into her personal aspirations outside the entertainment industry. While she has achieved several milestones professionally, Imperial recognizes that there are still personal dreams she wants to fulfill.
At 27, she is not rushing into settling down, as she still has several personal and professional goals she wants to accomplish first. More than simply waiting for the right time to start a family, however, she is also thinking about broader concerns, including healthcare, education, and the country’s current situation. These issues have made her reflect on what kind of future the next generation will inherit.
“Actually, isa siyang factor for me kaya hindi pa ako ready kasi sa gobyernong ‘to. Parang, paano? Sa sistema na ‘to, paano? ‘Yung healthcare, ‘yung edukasyon, parang, if ngayon, parang paano? Anong mangyayari?” she reflected.
