Liza Soberano speaks about her career in Hollywood.
Actress Liza Soberano is embracing a new chapter in her career as she continues to pursue her Hollywood dream.
It has been a long time since actress Liza Soberano stepped out of the local limelight to pursue her dream Hollywood career. While it was initially highly controversial because of the statements she made about her former home network, many still supported the new path she took.
She fully embraced this new chapter in her career, and as of now, she still continues to make her mark in Hollywood, describing the experience as one that has allowed her to feel more free as an actress.
In a recent interview, Soberano opened up about her budding career in the United States and the opportunities that have come her way since deciding to pursue projects outside the Philippines. She has been consistently building her profile in Hollywood, taking on roles that have allowed her to explore different aspects of her craft and passion.

To recall, Liza’s Hollywood debut was in the 2024 horror-comedy Lisa Frankenstein, where she played Taffy alongside Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse. Her supporting performance became an important step in her transition to the international entertainment scene.
In the upcoming animated film titled Forgotten Island, she took even a bigger step. She lent her voice to Raissa, one of the film’s lead characters. The project is particularly meaningful for Soberano because of its Filipino roots and its focus on local folklore and culture.
Her Hollywood journey has also expanded beyond acting. Soberano has ventured into producing through her company, Funny Face Films, and has been involved in projects highlighting Filipino talent and stories.
It has been a tumultuous road as she pursues Hollywood, but she is glad that her slow and sure approach is now finally paying off.
“I’m really happy that I’m slowly getting there and slowly achieving my dreams. I mean, it wasn’t easy. There was a lot of hardships that I had to go through. A lot of changes that had to happen not just professionally but also personally para magawa ko ‘to,” she said.
She is happy that she remained committed to her dream, most especially now that her journey is inspiring more people to also pursue their dreams no matter how blurry the road is for now.
For Soberano, being able to encourage others to chase their dreams is already fulfilling, especially as she continues to build a career through a unique path of her own that has not necessarily been done in the same way before.
