PAGASA Says Amihan to Affect PH Weather on Wednesday (February 9)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy to rainy condition over some parts of the country.
On Wednesday (February 9, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Northeast Monsoon will be affecting Northern Luzon. The easterlies will bring cloudy condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Leyte, Southern Leyte and Bohol.
Batanes and Cagayan including Babuyan Islands will experience similar weather condition due to the shear line. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The Easterlies / localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over rest of Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro.
The northeast monsoon or Amihan will bring similar weather condition over Ilocos provinces, Apayao, Abra, and Kalinga as well as Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country.

Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.
The coastal water condition over northern Luzon, rest of Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The rest of Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
