PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update For Friday (February 4)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the trough of a low-pressure area and shear line will bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Friday (February 4, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The LPA’s trough and the shear line will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Shear Line will be affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. It would bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, and Visayas.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands due to the northeast monsoon.

The rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila may experience similar weather condition while Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Region, La Union, and Aurora may experience isolated light rains.

The Visayas region expects scattered rain showers particularly in the eastern portion of the region. The rest of Mindanao will experience similar weather condition.

The trough of the LPA will bring overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Davao Region, Caraga, and Soccsksargen. The localized thunderstorms may causes high chances of rain over Bangsamoro Region, Northern Mindanao, and the Zamboanga Peninsula.

The weather agency advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over Northern and western sections of Northern Luzon as well as the Rest of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough.

The remaining parts of the country would be slight to moderate.
