PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (November 9)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Amihan and shearline will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.
On Tuesday (November 9, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and the shear line would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Tail-end of the Frontal System or shear line would affect eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas while Amihan would affect the rest of Luzon.
Shear line would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Central and Eastern Visayas.
Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country are also expected to experience similar weather condition.
“Lumakas po ang amihan o ang northeast monsoon. Sa kasalukuyan ang northeast monsoon ay nakakaapekto sa buong Luzon. Samantala, shear line, ito yung lugar kung saan nagsasalubong ang amihan o easterlies, kung saan naapektuhan ang silangang bahagi ng Luzon gayundin ang silangang bahagi ng Visayas,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldzcar Aurelio said.
The weather agency also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands. MIMAROPA and Western Visayas are also advised to take precautionary measures during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon will be moderate to rough while Visayas and Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea condition.
