Woman Lost Her Expensive Cellphone After It Was Stolen While Ordering at Fast Food Chain
A 21-year-old woman lost her expensive cellphone after it was allegedly stolen inside a fast-food restaurant in Tondo, Manila.
On the afternoon of June 4, 2026, the CCTV footage shows how the suspects reportedly carried out the theft while the victim and her companion were dining inside the establishment in Barangay 94.
The victim, Kristel Mae Pausanos, said she accidentally left her cellphone worth around P50,000 on their table when she went to the counter to claim their order. Her companion, Romilyn Perez, remained seated to watch over their belongings.
However, CCTV footage reportedly showed a man wearing a white hat watching the two women before the incident happened. Moments later, Pausanos stood up and left her phone on the table while heading to the counter.
At the same time, a woman believed to be working with the suspect approached Perez and started asking for directions to Pritil. While Perez was busy answering the question, the male suspect allegedly moved closer to the table and quietly grabbed the cellphone before quickly leaving the restaurant.
The victims later realized that the suspects appeared to have been observing them even before the theft took place. Aside from the cellphone itself, Pausanos said the device contained online banking and e-wallet applications with more than P20,000 in available funds.
Using a tracking application, the victim was initially able to locate the phone in the area of Jacinto Street. She and her companions even sought assistance from local barangay officials and reviewed nearby CCTV cameras in an effort to trace the suspects’ movements.
Unfortunately, the phone’s location later disappeared from the tracking app. Pausanos also discovered that money from one of her online wallets had been withdrawn, leaving only a small remaining balance.
According to her, part of the money was intended for their planned trip home to Mindanao later this month.

The incident has already been reported to the police. Authorities are now conducting an investigation and reviewing CCTV footage to help identify and locate the suspects.
