PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (November 8)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Philippines would experience hot and weather condition due to the easterlies.

On Monday (November 8, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The easterlies would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

The easterlies would bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The localized thunderstorms/easterlies would also similar weather condition over over the provinces Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Ifugao, Abra, Mountain Province, Apayao, Kalinga, at Aurora.

Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands as well as Mindanao would have the same weather.

The weather agency also advised the residents in the affected area to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country would have fair to hot and humid weather with chances of isolated rains or thunderstorms.

“‘Yung amihan naman or northeast monsoon, hindi pa umiiral ngayong umaga pero pagsapit po ng hapon unti-unting lalakas ito,” Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said.

Easterlies are hot winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

The coastal water condition Northern Luzon, Aurora Province, Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands will be slight to moderate.
