PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (November 5)

The state weather bureau PAGASA is monitoring a Low Pressure Area off Northern Samar, cloudy to rainy conditions are expected over parts of the country.

On Friday (November 5, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure and shear line would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the LPA has been last spotted at 60 km east of Catarman town, Northern Samar. The weather disturbance has only a slim chance of developing into a tropical storm but it would bring rainshowers over Luzon and Visayas.

The low-pressure area/shear line would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate, Mindoro Provinces, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains or thunderstorms are expected over Marinduque, Romblon and Camarines Province as well as Mindanao.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon would also experience similar weather condition due to the effects of northeast monsoon or locally known as Amihan.

The weather agency warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Northern and eastern sections of Luzon would be moderate to rough while Visayas and Mindanao would have slight to moderate surrounding sea condition, according to the weather bureau.
