Taylor Swift Supports #JunkTerrorBill
TAYLOR SWIFT – American superstar Taylor Swift posted the junk terror bill petition on her Instagram Story.
Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has certified a measure called ‘Anti-terror’ bill that aims to toughen the anti-terrorism policies of the government. House Bill No. 6875 amends the Human Security Act of 2007.
The 75-year-old chief said, “address the urgent need to strengthen the law on anti-terrorism in order to adequately and effectively contain the menace of terrorist acts for the preservation of national security and the promotion of general welfare.” In February, Filipino senators approved the Anti-terrorism bill that legalizes wiretapping and detention without a warrant.
The anti-terror bill met with criticism from netizens. Lots of people including celebrities like Solenn Heussaff, Enchong Dee, and Nadine Lustre took to their social media accounts to oppose the pending approval of the bill. They said there is a probability that the government will abuse their power.

A Filipino Swiftie uploaded screenshots of Taylor Swift’s post on Instagram story. In the caption, she said the superstar is “telling the world to uphold human rights in the Philippines and #Junkterrorbillnow!” The netizen behind @EmbraceDaylight said she’s glad that she’s a big fan of the “Lover” singer.
