Why Haven’t We Seen Enchong Dee On TV?
ENCHONG DEE – Admittedly, there has been a lack of the Kapamilya actor and talk show host, Enchong Dee, in television and movies.
However, just because he isn’t active in showbiz does not mean that he’s not keeping himself busy. Aside from acting, Enchong Dee has ventured into the world of business.
Not only that, he also has made efforts into social advocacies that he’s passionate about. Adding to the list, the actor also keeps up with training for various sports events.
His advocacy project “Handog Palangoy” was started about 3 years ago and has continued to flourish. It aimed to help indigent children learn basic swimming techniques.
According to an article from Inquirer, Enchong said that showbiz only took up a certain percentage of his life. He also stated that he was lucky that he didn’t have to rely on acting to make a living.
The actor’s last television appearance was on the 2018 drama, “Blood Sisters”. Although, he said that there have been other projects that were offered to him.
As per the article, Enchong gave reporters his thought process when it came to accepting projects. The actor said that he needs to carefully evaluate the offers first.
The reason for this could be that the actor takes his craft seriously. In previous interviews, Enchong had already expressed this sentiment.
“Acting is a craft for me, something I value and am passionate about”, said the actor. Afterward, he said that money isn’t the most important factor when choosing a project.
He then said that for him, showbiz and business has a sort of see-saw relationship. The actor said that the reason he has time for business is that showbiz takes a back seat.
However, when there’s a project that he’s passionate about, business takes the back seat. During the interview, he also talked about what his next project would be.
“I can’t say for sure when my next series will be; that’s really up to management,” said Enchong. He then added that if an opportunity came, he would like to do a project that people would find relatable.
