Mother Expresses Shock After Discovering Snake Inside Son’s Helmet During Trip
A mother was shocked after discovering a snake hiding inside the helmet worn by her son while they were traveling to Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The mother identified as Emma Ongcal said they were already on the road when she noticed something unusual inside her child’s helmet. She was shocked to see a snake tucked inside the helmet.
The incident immediately caused her to panic, but she chose to stay calm and keep it to herself.
According to Ongcal, her son was not feeling well at the time and was suffering from a fever. Concerned that he might panic and become even more distressed, she decided not to tell him right away about the snake.
The woman carefully thought of a way to remove the reptile without putting her son in danger. She eventually attempted to take the snake out herself, but the animal nearly bit her. Luckily, a passerby noticed the situation and stepped in to help. With the help of the concerned individual, the snake was safely removed from the helmet.
Emma explained that she had not checked the helmet before leaving because they were in a hurry. Their home is located in a mountainous area where snakes are occasionally seen, making it possible for the reptile to have crawled inside unnoticed. Her son also failed to notice the snake because he was focused on dealing with his illness.
The family was unable to determine the exact species of the snake. However, someone familiar with local wildlife reportedly told them that the snake was likely non-venomous.
After ensuring that everyone was safe, they released the snake back into the wild. The reptile was estimated to be more than one meter long.
