Motorcycle Rider Lost His Life After Being Hit by Pickup Truck
A motorcycle rider lost his life after being struck by a pickup truck along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Isabang, Tayabas City, Quezon.
According to initial police findings, the accident happened when the victim’s motorcycle suddenly stalled while traveling along the outer lane of the highway. The unexpected engine failure forced the rider to stop on the roadside as he tried to restart his vehicle.
While the rider was attempting to get the motorcycle running again, a black pickup truck approached the area and reportedly hit him. The impact caused serious injuries to the victim, who later died as a result of the accident.
Authorities said the pickup truck briefly stopped after the collision. However, instead of staying at the scene, the vehicle eventually continued its journey and headed toward the direction of Sariaya. The driver did not immediately report the incident to the authorities.
