At the same time, it also raised concern due to the danger these snakes may pose. The Philippine cobra is known to be highly venomous, making it important for people to keep a safe distance if they encounter one.

The sighting was not reported to authorities. The person who took the video shared that the snakes eventually moved away from the road and into a grassy area nearby, reducing the immediate risk to passersby.

Still, residents living near the area were reminded to stay alert and report any similar sightings to local authorities. Encounters like this can be dangerous, especially in communities close to natural habitats.

The Philippine cobra is currently classified as near threatened and is protected under Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act. It means harming, selling, or capturing these animals is strictly prohibited.

Violations of the law may lead to penalties, including imprisonment of up to two years and fines ranging from P20,000 to P200,000. The incident serves as a reminder to respect wildlife while also keeping communities safe.
