LTO Summons Driver & Passenger Involved in Bulacan Road Rage
LTO has ordered the driver and passenger of a Toyota Hilux to explain their actions after a road rage incident involving a motorcycle rider.
The Facebook page Land Transportation Office – Philippines has ordered the driver and passenger involved in an intense road rage with a motorcycle rider in Barangay Iba, Hagonoy, Bulacan to show up. The post elicited various reactions from the online community.
Based on the video, a motorcycle briefly stopped at a street corner when the Hilux passed by. The passenger opened the window and threw an object at the rider and the back rider.

After a few moments, the passenger stepped out of the vehicle and punched the motorcycle rider. Even after initially pulling away, the passenger returned and struck the rider again before leaving the area.
Following the incident, the LTO issued a show cause order requiring those involved to appear before the agency on January 15, 2026. They were asked to submit a sworn explanation and documents to clarify why they should not face administrative penalties.
The possible violations include obstruction of traffic and being unfit to operate a motor vehicle.
As part of the initial action, the LTO suspended the driver’s license for 90 days while the investigation is ongoing. The Toyota Hilux involved was also placed under alarm status to prevent it from being used while the case is being reviewed.
The LTO stressed that violence and reckless behavior on the road are unacceptable. Roads are shared spaces where all users, whether drivers, riders, or pedestrians, deserve respect and safety. Acts of anger and aggression not only endanger lives but also disrupt traffic and public order.
The agency encouraged motorists to remain calm, practice patience, and resolve conflicts peacefully to avoid putting lives at risk.
