PAGASA Says Luzon to Experience Rains, Visayas and Mindanao to Have Hot Weather
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that Luzon may experience rain, while Visayas and Mindanao will have hot weather.
On Tuesday (July 29, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions
PAGASA weather specialist Chenel Dominguez reported that rain showers will prevail over Luzon, while hot weather conditions are expected across Visayas and Mindanao.
The southwest monsoon will bring occasional rains over Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Abra, Benguet, Zambales, and Bataan.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain are predicted over Metro Manila and most of Luzon, except for Mimaropa and Bicol regions.
“In Mimaropa and the Bicol Region, we expect generally clear weather. However, there remains a high chance of rain, especially in the early morning, afternoon, and evening, still due to the habagat,” Dominguez said.

Habagat will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms over the remaining parts of the country.
However, Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will have a hot weather condition over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

PAGASA said that no tropical cyclones or low-pressure areas are being monitored inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
The coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be rough. Moderate to rough coastal waters are expected over the western section of Luzon. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions will prevail over the remaining parts of the country, according to PAGASA.
Meanwhile, tropical cyclones Emong and Krosa, have left the country’s vicinity, but it continue to enhance the southwest monsoon.
