College in San Carlos City Advises Students to Transfer as It Sets to Shut Down

A college in San Carlos City has officially announced that it will be shutting down its operations, advises students to transfer.

Recently, Tañon College made the announcement through its Student Affairs and Services Facebook page, advising students to start preparing to transfer to other schools. The post elicited comments from netizens.

According to the statement, the closure is due to the school’s inability to meet the requirements set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The order to stop operations was issued by CHED on July 2, 2025.

Tañon College stated that they will assist in processing and releasing transfer credentials to help students smoothly get into their chosen schools. Students were encouraged to reach out to the Registrar’s Office for guidance and to secure the necessary documents.
