Jayson Gainza made this revelation about Piolo Pascual
Kapuso comedian-host Jayson Gainza revealed that Kapamilya A-list actor Piolo Pascual helped him quit smoking.
Jayson started his showbiz career through the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother. From that, he wwas featured in various shows on ABS-CBN.
In 2022, Jayson decided to transfer to the Kapuso network as he signed a contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center. He is currently one of the hosts of the Kapuso morning variety show ‘TiktoClock.’
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Jayson Gainza was asked about how he would take care of his health.
He mentioned that Piolo Pascual helped him quit smoking. The A-list actor convinced the comedian-host to stop that bad health habit already. Jayson gave up smoking in 2010.
Jayson revealed that the advice from Piolo came when they were working together in the TV series, ‘Sa Piling Mo,’ back in 2006.
“Natutunan ko kay Piolo, Sa Piling Mo, aking first teleserye. Sabi niya sa akin, yosi ako ng yosi. Si Piolo ayaw niya ng nag-yoyosi. Minsan nasa taping kami, may isa akong kaha. Dinampot niya, ginusot niya. Sabi niya, ’Itigil mo ’yan. Ikamamatay mo ‘yan,’” the Kapuso comedian-host said.
Piolo also told him to prioritize his health since he is not getting any younger. “Tapos nagkwentuhan kami sabi niya, ’Alam mo Jason, ‘pag 30 ka na, talagang alagaan mo na sarili mo, mag-exercise ka na. Kasi, hindi ka na bata, baka mamaya magkasakit ka pa.’ Tumatak ’yon sa isip ko,” Jayson shared.
He said that he listened to Piolo’s advice to adopt a healthier lifestyle when he reached his 30s.
“Kaya nang 30s ako, talagang, yun, mini-maintain ko na lang talaga, kumbaga inalagaan mo, mag-exercise, tapos, iwas mga pagkain. For example, coke, yung mga sugar, mga instant noodles,” Jayson said.
Meanwhile, Jayson Gainza caught the attention of the online community when he posted his Meralco Bill that was worth P17,000. He slammed the electric company for the big amount as he thought that their consumption had not reached that kind of amount.
