PAGASA Says Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Wednesday (May 14, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja reported that easterlies affecting Metro Manila and parts of Mindanao could bring rains.

“Based on our latest satellite animation, we do not see any tropical cyclones or typhoons entering our Philippine area of responsibility until the end of this week,” Estareja said.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, and Davao Occidental.
Cloud clusters are being monitored on the eastern portion of Mindanao.

“However, we are seeing a cloud cluster east of Mindanao, associated with the intertropical convergence zone, which will bring rain to large parts of Mindanao and Visayas in the next few days,” he added.
It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides and severe thunderstorms.
No low-pressure areas are being monitored within or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon and the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA. No gale warning was raised over any of the country’s seaboard.
