Piolo Pascual Drunk Already while Giving FAMAS Best Actor Speech?

Piolo Pascual Awarded as Best Actor at 72nd FAMAS Awards

Piolo Pascual admitted that he has already drank a lot prior to giving his Best Actor speech at the 72nd FAMAS Awards.

One of the much-awaited awards night in the Philippine entertainment industry is the Filipino Academy for Movie, Arts, and Sciences Awards. It is more popularly called FAMAS Awards which is held every year for 72 years now.

The 72nd FAMAS Awards which is the latest awards night was held at The Manila Hotel on Sunday. It was a star-studded event that gathered many of the most excellent actors, actresses, producers, scriptwriters, and many more personalities in the Philippine showbiz industry.

One of those who were present at the event was actor-producer Piolo Pascual. He was nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of his characters in the hit 2023 horror film Mallari.

Piolo Pascual was awarded as FAMAS Best Actor on Sunday. He was in a tie with actor Alfred Vargas in the said award as he also won Best Actor for Pieta.

Veteran stars Vilma Santos and Christopher de Leon announced the names of Piolo and Alfred as the Best Actors. During his FAMAS Best Actor speech, Piolo Pascual admitted that he has already drank a lot at the event. Vilma also joked him that he is already drunk.

“Unang-una kong pasalamatan ang Panginoong Diyos po sa karangalang ito because kung wala po ang Panginoong Diyos, wala po ako dito,” he said at the event.

The actor thanked God, his parents, and FAMAS for the award. Piolo also expressed his gratitude to everyone he has worked with in the film.

“Marami po akong papasalamatan, pero marami na rin po ako nainom tonight. So, gusto ko lang pong magpasalamat sa Mentorque Productions…” the FAMAS Best Actor said.

In the middle of giving a speech, he looked at Vilma and called her “Mommy” after saying that he has a lot to be thankful to. That’s when the veteran actress joked that he’s already drunk.

“Lasing ka na anak, lasing ka na anak. Go ahead, anak, go,Vilma told Piolo.

Mallari won big at the event. It brought home six (6) awards. Here is a complete list of the winners at the event:
