Piolo Pascual Awarded as FAMAS Best Actor, Mallari Wins Big

Piolo Pascual was awarded as the Best Actor for his portrayal of his roles in Mallari at FAMAS Awards 2024.

Piolo is one of the outstanding actors in the Philippine showbiz industry. He is not only an actor but also a recording artist, a film producer, a host, and a commercial model. Undeniably, he is one of the actors of his generation with the most successful careers in the entertainment industry.

It was in 1993 when Piolo Pascual’s showbiz career began and he is one of the actors and actresses who have made appearances in the youth-oriented talent and variety show That’s Entertainment. His success in showbiz has helped Piolo put up a lot of businesses.

Throughout his showbiz career, the actor which has spent most of his acting career under the ABS-CBN network did a lot of hit projects. Among them are the movies Kahit Isang Saglit, Bakit ‘Di Totohanin, Till There Was You, and Don’t Give Up On Us which were top-billed by his phenomenal loveteam with Judy Ann Santos.

Piolo is one of the multi-awarded actors in the Philippine entertainment industry. He had a back-to-back win as Movie Actor of the Year at the 31st and the 32nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies in 2015 and 2016. He was also the Best Drama Actor of the 22nd PMPC Star Awards for TV in 2008 for his role in the TV series Lobo.

In 2005, Piolo Pascual won Best Actor at FAMAS Awards for his portrayal of his role in the hit film Milan. It followed her Best Supporting Actor award in FAMAS Awards 2003 for the film Dekada ’70.

Recently, Piolo Pascual won another FAMAS Best Actor award for his 2023 film Mallari which is a Philippine horror movie. The said film also won the most awards at the event with six (6) awards.

Alfred Vargas was also awarded as Best Actor for Pieta. With regards to the other awards for Mallari, Gloria Diaz won Best Supporting Actress, Enrico Santos for Best Screenplay, Marielle Hizon for Best Production Design, and the film also won Best Picture and Best Visual Effects.
