The iconic and historical ABS-CBN and GMA contract signing for their partnership for It’s Showtime happened on March 20. This event was attended by the hosts of the show, the bosses from the ABS-CBN and top executives from the GMA.
It also became a trending topic online sending many people mixed emotions because of this collaboration.
“This is just so historic, so iconic. This is mothering. Who would’ve thought na mangyayari ito. Magsasanib-pwersa talaga, magsasama talaga ang ABS-CBN at GMA,” says Vice Ganda in is official speech during this event.
Anne Curtis expressed her feelings over this as well and she was elated and grateful for this. She thanked the GMA bosses for the warm welcome and the ABS-CBN bosses for keeping the faith and fighting for them.
In the latest vlog of Vice Ganda, the comedian shared some behind-the-scenes from that day and some of the highlights from the event itself. In the video, the comedian documented from the moment they were preparing to the moment they rode the vehicle that took them to GMA and to the after-party they’ve had to celebrate this.
It was a moment of happiness as finally, they know where they belong. The destination is unexpected but the challenges they encountered in this journey led them to where they are now.
Showtime will start airing in GMA this April 6.
They also shared a clip from his speech where he expressed is gratitude to the GMA who helped them and gave them a helping hand when they reached the bottom. Their former rival did not step down into them, they lifted them up.
Vice, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Karylle, Amy Perez, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Darren, Ryan Bang, Ion Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, MC, Lassy, and Cianne Dominguez were all present in the contract signing event as seen in the vlog.
