Class Suspensions for Tuesday (May 16, 2023) Due to Heavy Rains & Flood

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units declared class suspensions in some areas due to the heavy rain and flooding.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has issued a weather advisory stating that several parts of the country can expect rainy and overcast skies due to two weather systems.

These weather systems include a southwesterly surface wind flow persisting west of northern and central Luzon and a frontal system in the extreme northern Luzon area.

As a result, several parts of the country, including Northern Luzon and western parts of mainland Luzon, are expected to experience cloudy skies and rain.

On Tuesday (May 16, 2023), the classes in some areas have been canceled due to the heavy rain and flood caused by a thunderstorm. As a result, students and teachers are advised to stay at home and take the necessary precautions to ensure their safety.

One of the areas that announced class cancellations for the day is Malabon City, where all levels in both public and private schools are affected. This decision was made by the local government in response to the inclement weather conditions that have been affecting the city.

Class Suspensions

The heavy rain and thunderstorms have caused flooding in some parts of Malabon, making it difficult for students and teachers to commute to their respective schools. The local government has deemed it unsafe for classes to continue under such circumstances, and as such, has ordered the suspension of all classes for the day.
