Bamboo stays but Sarah Geronimo and Lea Salonga are no longer a part of “The Voice Philippines”.
SARAH GERONIMO – Singer Sarah Geronimo and Lea Salonga are no longer coaches of “The Voice Philippines”, but Bamboo stays.
Philippine reality television singing competition on ABS-CBN is “The Voice” which has already produced several singers in the industry. And in the Philippines, the coaches that people have always loved seeing in the show are Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo, rock icon Bamboo Mañalac, Broadway Diva Lea Salonga, Megastar Sharon Cuneta, and international star Apl.de.ap.
The first season was aired on June 15, 2013, and it produced grand champions Mitoy Yunting and Jason Dy. It also had a couple of editions for kids and teens.
In this show, judges would have to choose the people on their team through “Blind Auditions” followed by The Battles, The Knockouts, and Live Shows.
The show has also won several awards such as Best Reality/Talent Show in the 13th Gawad Tanglaw; Students’ Choice of Reality/Game Show in the 10th USTv Students’ Choice Awards and; Top Reality Talk/Talent Search/Game Show in the 45th GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards.
But just recently, in an announcement, a new set of coaches has been announced. Many got saddened by the announcement because coaches Sarah and Lea are no longer a part of the panel.
Bamboo stays but they are replaced by KZ Tandingan and Martin Nievera. Bamboo is among the original hosts and won a trophy in 2015 for Elha Nympha’s victory.
And here are the comments of the netizens on this:
ANG SAKIT NAMAN.
Will not be able to watch the new season coz it would only remind me of “what could have happen” if they’re still on it.
Sorry, but Coach Sarah and Coach Lea are THE VOICE itself.
The Voice will never be the same without Coach Lea and Coach Sarah
Sad to hear the news na wala sa TVK ang AshLea.
