This is what Dennis Padilla wishes to happen before Christmas.
DENNIS PADILLA – Actor-comedian Dennis Padilla has three children with Marjorie Barretto but they are currently facing an issue.
“At the end of the day, all I want is peace with my dad,” says Leon Barretto when asked about a possible reconciliation with father Dennis Padilla. He and Marjorie Barretto have three children: Julia Barretto, Leon Barretto, and Claudia Barretto.
The issue between him and his estranged children started when they “forgot” to greet him on Father’s Day but such, to others, came as a “public shaming” on his part. People noticed that he always tends to air his issues with his children in public instead of keeping them private.
Marjorie even expressed once that she hopes he would protect their children.
Dennis has this on-and-off relationship with his children and this year, before Christmas, he wishes that he could reconcile with them.
This he said after hearing what his only son with Marjorie said about hoping to reconcile with him at the right time. In a report from PEP, he said that it was painful for him to leave his children when he and Marjorie got separated in 2007.
Julia was just 10 years old while Claudia and Leon were eight and three years old, respectively. To be separated from a partner was a painful experience but to leave the children behind is more painful.
He added, “Pero yung mawalan ka ng communication sa mga anak mo, torture talaga. Torture yun kasi hindi ko na sila nakakausap.”
The 60-year-old comedian wishes to reconcile with his estranged children who are now all adults. Marjorie would be out of the question but she can make suggestions.
He said, “Siguro makakatulong din kapag sinabi niya na, ‘Makipag-ayos na kayo sa tatay niyo para maging tahimik na tayong lahat.’”
