Andrea Torres trends on Twitter because of her acting prowess
Kapuso actress Andrea Torres received praise from the online community because of her portrayal of the character Sisa in the primetime series Maria Clara at Ibarra.
When news surfaced that Andrea would be part of the new Kapuso series based on Jose Rizal’s novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, some of her fans reacted that she should get the lead role and not the supporting role.
However, there were those who believed that she will do great in portraying the role of a mother who lost her sanity when she lost her sons. Indeed, the Kapuso actress showed a wonderful performance.
Andrea became a trending topic online after she showcased her performance as Sisa who became “baliw” due to the tragedy in her life. Netizens expressed positive feedback on her performance.
“I don’t watch this show, pero grabe tong scene na to, makes me want to watch it. Galing ni Andrea Torres!” Twitter user @ALEXABestGirl commented.
There were also netizens who said that Andrea’s acting in this series deserves to be recognized. A netizen stressed that Andrea is perfect for the role.
Meanwhile, in a previous Twitter post, Andrea expressed her admiration for her co-actress Barbie Forteza who plays the character of Maria Clara “Klay” Infante. The older actress said that she is a fan of the younger actress. Barbie has been receiving praise also for her acting prowess.
Previously, Kapuso writer Suzette Doctolero made clarifications that Maria Clara at Ibarra is not a “kabit serye” as there are viewers who would ship Barbie’s character to the character of Crisostomo Ibarra played by Dennis Trillo.
