Parking Aide Lauded Online for Helping a Motorist Suffering from Asthma in Baguio City

The online community praised a parking aide after helping a motorist who is allegedly suffering from an asthma attack in Baguio City.

The Baguio City local administration recently reported with pride how quickly a parking attendant intervened to assist a driver who was having an asthma attack while on Session Road. The parking assistant was rewarded and honored by the local administration.

Jobert F. Rivera, a parking assistant at the City Engineering Office, was the name of the good Samaritan, according to the post of Public Information Office – City of Baguio. Rivera received a certificate of appreciation.

Based on the post, a man by the name of “Che Duterte” got in touch with Baguio City’s municipal government and commended Rivera for his bravery. When he complained of asthma symptoms, Rivera allegedly assisted and let him park in the taxi lane.

The parking attendant offered to purchase the medication on his behalf. Duterte proposed to give him cash as a sign of gratitude. But when he offered a gratuity, Rivera declined to take the cash.

“Pinayagan pa niya ako magpark saglit sa may taxi lane until I could catch my breath na… nakakaiyak ang kabaitan ni kuya, literally…” said the motorist who helped.
