PAGASA Says Most Parts of PH Will Have Cloudy & Rainy Weather Conditions

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (July 12)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that most parts of the Philippines will experience cloudy and rainy weather conditions.

On Tuesday (July 12, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area and the southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area has been spotted at 420 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora. It has a slim chance of developing into a storm. It is also expected to move near extreme Northern Luzon.

The LPA will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Aurora Province, Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon and Marinduque.

The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao and Benguet.

The southwest monsoon will be affecting the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

“Dahil sa dalawang weather system, ngayong araw, inaasahan [natin] na maulap ang kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorm sa Mimaropa (Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), Bicol region, kasama na rin ang Metro Manila at Aurora,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

The weather agency has also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the western sections of northern and central Luzon as well as the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate.
