PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (July 11)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the low-pressure and habagat will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Monday (July 11, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area has been last spotted at 635 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon. The weather disturbance has a slim chance of developing into a typhoon within the next 48 hours.

“Base sa ating mga data at analysis, itong low pressure area ay nanatiling mababa ang tiyansa maging bagyo sa susunod na 48 hours,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

The southwest monsoon will be affecting the western section of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The low-pressure area will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas. Habagat will also bring similar weather condition over Western and Central Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon and Marinduque will have the same weather condition.

The Southwest Monsoon/Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet and Aurora.

“Mababa pa rin ang tiyansa na maging tropical depression ang binabantayang LPA pero patuloy itong magdadala ng mga pag-ulan sa Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao Province, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon at Masbate,” weather forecaster Ezra Bulquerin said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience similar weather condition.

The weather agency has also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over the western section of Central and Southern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
