PAGASA Says ITCZ to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring rainy condition over some parts of the country.

On Saturday (June 11, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Visayas. The Localized Thunderstorms will be affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

The ITCZ will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate and Northern Samar. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon as well as Eastern Visayas.

The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over rest of Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands and Occidental Mindoro.

Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao and Benguet as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition due to the localized thunderstorms.

The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon will be slight to moderate. Visayas and Mindanao will experience slight surrounding sea conditions.
