Yen Santos has finally returned after her long hiatus
Actress Yen Santos was asked about the reason why she took a break from the entertainment industry, and here’s what she said about this.
The last acting project that Yen did was the movie A Faraway Land, which was released in 2021 with her ex-boyfriend, actor Paolo Contis.
Their relationship became controversial as Paolo was accused of cheating on his former partner, LJ Reyes, and allegedly, Yen was the third party. Although Paolo and Yen did not really speak directly about their relationship, their photos and videos shared on social media were enough to confirm what they had.
Eventually, reports of their breakup surfaced despite their silence on the real status of their relationship.
This year, Yen Santos is coming back after her long hiatus. In an interview by ABS-CBN entertainment reporter MJ Felipe, the actress was asked, “bakit ka ba nawala?” She replied that it had been a long time and she had to attend to personal matters in her life.
“Marami lang akong dapat ayusin sa sarili ko, at sa personal kong buhay. Kinailangan ko rin ang time na yun para makabalik ako nang buong-buo sa trabaho,” the actress said.
When asked how it was for sure, since there had been news about issues in her love life and family. The actress admitted that it was difficult for her, but she had to go through these things to find herself again.
“Kasi pakiramdam ko marami ang nawala,” Yen said, adding that she needed a long time to be ready once again.
She also revealed that the most painful part of everything that has happened was that she missed opportunities for herself, and now, she has decided to take chances.
Despite the regrets, Yen Santos stressed that the most important thing was that she learned from what she went through, and she made sure those things won’t happen again.
