Manny Pacquiao To Expedite Return from U.S. To Help Earthquake Victims in GenSan: “You are not alone in this”

Former Sen. Manny Pacquiao Assures Fellows in GenSan of Help in Recovering from Earthquake

MANNY PACQUIAO – The former Senator assured his fellowmen in General Santos City that he is returning soon to help them following the massive earthquake.

The strong earthquake that recently hit General Santos was initially recorded by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or Phivolcs at 7.0 magnitude. It caused destruction in several areas around the city and fatalities were recorded as well.

Intensity II was felt in the City of Dipolog, Labason, Liloy, President Manuel A. Roxas, and Salug Zamboanga del Norte; Alicia, Ipil, Mabuhay, Olutanga, and Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay; Molave, Zamboanga del Sur; Abuyog, and Dulag, Leyte; and San Francisco, Southern Leyte.

Intensity III were recorded in the city of Butuan; Mainit, Surigao del Norte; City of Dapitan, Zamboanga del Norte; and Kumalarang, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur. Mati City in Davao Oriental; Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay; and Caraga, Manay, and Tarragona, Davao Oriental felt Intensity IV.

Sarangani Earthquake

The strong shaking was also felt in the city of Davao; the City of Kidapawan, and Carmen, Cotabato; Bagumbayan, Kalamansig, and President Quirino, Sultan Kudarat; and Sibuco, and Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte wherein Intensity V was recorded.

Intensity VI was felt in Palimbang, and Senator Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat while General Santos City felt Intensity VII. Recently, former Sen. Manny Pacquiao assured his fellowmen in General Santos of his help and support following the strong earthquake that hit their place.

Based on News5, boxing legend and former Sen. Manny Pacquiao is currently in the United States. Meanwhile, he assured his fellowmen in General Santos that he is making a way to return to the country sooner so he can help them.

“I am working to expedite my return so that I can be there in person to stand with you, listen to your needs, and personally help in our recovery efforts,” Pacquiao said.

Furthermore, based on the post, former Sen. Manny Pacquiao also vowed that he is monitoring the situation in General Santos following the recent strong earthquake that hit their place. He is coordinating with their teams for the help to the quake victims.

“Though I am currently here in the United States fulfilling prior commitments, I am monitoring the situation closely and coordinating with our teams on the ground to ensure that help reaches those who need it most as quickly as possible,” the former Senator said.

Former Sen. Manny Pacquiao assured his fellows in GenSan of his support. According to him, they don’t have to face it alone.

“You are not alone in this. We will face this challenge together and rebuild as one,” Pacquiao said.

In the Senate, Sen. Risa Hontiveros and the ‘new majority bloc’ also pledged to donate their one-month salary for the earthquake victims.
