PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (April 6)

The state weather bureau PAGASA is monitoring two low-pressure areas and rainy Wednesday is expected over most parts of the country.

On Wednesday (April 6, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that a low-pressure are has been spotted at 15 kilometers southeast of Davao City or in the vicinity of Laak, Davao de Oro. It is expected to bring rainshowers over the entire Mindanao and Visayas regions, as well as the province of Palawan.

However, it has a slim chance of developing into a storm within the next 24 hours but it may still cause possible flooding and landslides.

Another LPA has been spotted at 2,710 kilometers east of Mindanao outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). It has no direct impact yet to the country but it will bring rains over eastern portion of Southern Luzon and Visayas.

The northeasterly windflow will bring cloudy weather condition over Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon and Quezon. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

The weather agency also advised the public for possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon as well as the remaining parts of the country will be moderate to rough.
