PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (April 5)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area, shear line and the northeasterly winds will bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (April 5, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The LPA, shear line and the northeasterly winds will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Low Pressure Area (LPA) has been last spotted at 320 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Mindanao and Shear Line will be affecting Southern Luzon.

The ITCZ/LPA will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over entire Visayas. The Northeasterly Surface Windflow will bring similar weather condition over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Bulacan and CALABARZON.

“Dito po sa Luzon, asahan po natin dahil po sa northeasterly windflow, makakaranas itong Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Bulacan, at Calabarzon ng maulap na kalangitan na may mga mataas na tsansa na mga pag-ulan,” Pagasa weather specialist Samuel Duran said.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience the same weather condition due to LPA and ITCZ.

The shear line will bring the same weather condition over Bicol Region. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during moderate to at times heavy rains.
