Alden Richards was Vice Ganda’s first guest on new GGV
Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards had an emotional moment on the new Gandang Gabi Vice, and host Vice Ganda revealed that this took almost 10 minutes.
Alden is one of the most in-demand actors of his generation. His success was phenomenal. From doing supporting roles, he became one of the most sought-after leading men.
With his success, many people may think that his life is perfect, however, Alden, just like many successful showbiz personalities have their vulnerable moments.
In the pilot episode of Vice Ganda’s new GGV, Alden Richards was featured as the first guest. They had funny moments together on the set with a few of Alden’s fans as studio audience.
However, there were also moments of vulnerability, just like the time when Vice asked Alden about his love life.
The actor admitted that he had two official girlfriends in the past, and this was when he was still in high school and he was not yet in showbiz.
Then, he shared that in showbiz, he just had “almost but not quite.” Alden revealed that this happened five times. He refused to name names as he said that this already went out to the public. The actor appeared to be most affected by the recent one.
“Feeling ko, ang love life sa akin, medyo mailap siya for the past 15 years na,” Alden shared, stressing that he has been trying to find love.
The actor admitted the pressure that he felt because he is not getting any younger, and he knows that this has been a part of the Filipino culture to settle down when one reaches a certain age.
After the last “almost but not quite,” Alden Richards said that he will no longer look for love, and just wait for that right person. “7 billion people in the world, imposibleng walang isa doon na para sa akin,” he said.
Then, the actor shared an important realization. He said that for the longest time, he was finding love from another person, without realizing that that was not really what he needed. “Pagmamahal pala sa sarili ang kulang,” Alden said, and he went emotional.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Vice Ganda revealed that Alden Richards’s emotional moment took almost 10 minutes. “That breakdown took almost 10 minutes. And parang ayaw ko ng ituloy yung interview kasi awang awa ako sa kanya. Grabe yung iyak nya. But he insisted to still continue. Haaaayyy!!! love you Alden!” the comedian-host wrote in his tweet.
This received a comment from the Kapuso actor. “Love you Vice,” Alden wrote.
