PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (April 4)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area off Eastern Samar has entered the Philippine area of responsibility.

On Monday (April 4, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area will affect the country’s weather condition.

The LPA has been last spotted at 970 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar. It is expected to move westward or towards Visayas and Mindanao, it has a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone.

Ang low pressure area ay pumasok na po sa PAR o Philippine area of Rresponsibility kaninang alas-dos ng madaling araw, Itong low pressure area ay inaasahang kikilos pakanluran o papalapit sa Visayas at Mindanao… Kasalukuyan, mababa ang tsansa maging bagyo ang low pressure area,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

The shear line and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Ilocos Norte, Northern Mindanao, Eastern and Central Visayas.

The weather agency warned the residents in the affected areas for possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

The Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire country will be moderate to rough, according to the weather bureau.
