PAGASA Says Amihan and Shear Line to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon and the shear line would bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Wednesday (November 10, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and the shear line would affect the country’s condition.

PAGASA reported that the Tail-end of the Frontal System or shear line would affect Palawan and Visayas while the Amihan would affect the rest of Luzon. Possible flash floods or landslides during to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The easterlies/shear line would bring cloudy condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms Northern Samar, entire Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands as well as Cagayan Valley.

The northeast monsoon would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rains Occidental Mindoro, Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon. The localized thunderstorms would also bring similar weather condition over the rest of Mindanao.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country would have the same water condition.

The weather agency also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash flood and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over Northern Luzon, rest of Luzon and Visayas would be moderate to rough. Mindanao would have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
