Authorities Seized P600k Worth of Unregistered Imported Cooking Oil

SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA – The authorities seized P600, 000 worth of unregistered imported cooking oil from China and Malaysia.

Nowadays, the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines requires all companies selling food product and medicines to register their products. The agency wants to ensure the quality of the items and the safety of consumers.

The agency implements strict rules and regulations when monitoring the products. Some items failed to comply with the requirement and were not able to pass the standards. Failure to pass the quality assurance indicates that those products were not totally safe for human consumption.
