12-Year-Old Boy in Kalibo Suffers Injuries After Being Beaten by Fellow Minors
A 12-year-old boy was reportedly attacked by several fellow minors along Mabini Street in Poblacion in Kalibo, Aklan.
On the afternoon of June 10, 2026, the incident raised concerns among residents after the young victim was allegedly beaten and struck on the head with a metal pipe.
According to initial reports, a concerned citizen witnessed the commotion and immediately stepped in to help the child. The witness reportedly saw around five to six minors surrounding and attacking the victim.

The boy was allegedly hit repeatedly, including blows to the head using a pipe.
Authorities later learned that the incident may have started because of a disagreement involving a knife that was being offered for sale. Based on the victim’s account, some of the youth tried to sell him a knife worth P500.
When he refused to buy it, the situation allegedly escalated and led to the attack. The concerned citizen brought the boy to the Kalibo Municipal Police Station so the incident could be properly documented. Police officers recorded the details of the case and conducted an initial assessment of the victim’s condition.

Despite the violent attack, the boy was fortunate not to suffer any serious injuries. After being checked and assisted by authorities, he was safely released and placed under the care of his grandmother.
Police are still investigating the incident to determine the full circumstances behind the assault and identify all those involved. Authorities are also looking into the exact motive and whether additional actions will be taken against the minors who allegedly participated in the attack.
Residents hope that the incident will be resolved fairly and that similar situations can be prevented in the future.
