PAGASA Says ITCZ to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that fair weather condition with possibility of rains are expected over some parts of the country.

On Thursday (October 21, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon would affect the country.

Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio reported that the weather system in the country is currently in transition, which will give way for the northeast monsoon. The northeast wind flow’s cold breeze has already reached Taiwan.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone would bring similar weather condition over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon as well as Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

The ITCZ and the localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country will also experience the same weather condition.

PAGASA said that the no weather disturbances have been spotted within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands as well as the rest of the country would be slight to moderate.
