PAGASA Says Most Parts of PH Will Have Generally Fair Weather Condition for Monday (October 18)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that most parts of the country will have generally fair weather with possible isolated rain shower.

On Monday (October 18, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeasterly surface wind flow would affect the country’s weather condition.

The northeasterly surface wind flow would bring cloudy weather condition with light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands.

The Localized Thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Ifugao, Abra, Mountain Province, Apayao and Kalinga.

Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon as well as the region of Mindanao would experience similar weather condition. Metro Manila and the rest of the country would also have the same weather.

However, most parts of the country will experience generally fair weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the current weather system.

“Umiiral ang northeasterly surface windflow sa may bandang dulong hilagang Luzon,” Pagasa weather specialist Chris Perez said.

Expect hot and humid weather with chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over Visayas and Mindanao.

“Dahil sa umiiral na northeasterly surface windflow, may nakataas tayong gale warning,” Perez said.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon including Batanes, Calayan, Babuyan, Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur would be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country would have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
